Description
This fast-paced seminar focuses on a review of pertinent legal ethics issues in the past year. Attention is afforded old and new ethical matters, as well as a review of cases setting legal ethical trends. Subjects include permitting non-lawyers to invest in legal outcomes; furthering the impact of telecommuting, and the EU’s push to nix privilege for in-house practitioners. Examining the setting of ethical trends includes 1st Amendment issues and judges’ political speech; the sender’s burden to scrub metadata, and possibly halting law firm expansion abroad.
