Description:

This seminar examines multiple cases, including conflict issues where counsel sleeps with his client’s wife during his client’s trial and where two juvenile court judges received kickbacks for incarcerating more youth in a privately owned facility.  How should legal and judicial ethics apply when a former court appointed attorney – now a sitting judge – billed the county for what amounts to two and a half full-time jobs while serving as appointed defense counsel?  What are distinguishing differences between lawyer and judicial ethics or should the two be equivalent?
